Following the release of 2005's Route 23,Speed Of The Whippoorwill, which was originally released in May of 2006, was produced by Brian Paulson (Beck, Wilco, Uncle Tupelo) and continued the band's quest to unite their love for the power of rock with their faith in their home state's fine heritage of pure, engaging, traditional music. Speed Of The Whippoorwill features tracks that have now become Chatham County Line classics and have been staples of their live show for years, including: "By The Riverside", "Company Blues", "Confederate Soldier", "Rock Pile" and of course, "Speed Of The Whippoorwill."
